PVC Water Stop Seal Extrusion Line

The Deerma Machine PVC Waterstop Extrusion Production Line (Model SJZ65) is purpose-built for high-volume manufacturing of resilient PVC waterstops utilized in concrete waterproofing systems. This fully integrated extrusion setup comprises a twin-screw extruder, bespoke mold unit, water cooling tank, traction haul-off unit, precision cutting system, and automatic stacker — achieving a production rate of 180–250 kg/hour with line speeds of 1–1.5 meters per minute.
What Are PVC Waterstops?
Waterstops serve as integral waterproofing barriers within concrete structures or civil engineering projects requiring water retention. Fabricated from flexible PVC, these components leverage the material's inherent softness and elasticity for easy on-site cutting and economical deployment. Their widespread adoption spans public infrastructure including bridges and reservoirs, residential construction, and industrial facilities such as chemical plants and wastewater treatment stations.

Product Capabilities
Our PVC waterstop extrusion equipment fabricates all three primary waterstop configurations:
· Center bulb profiles — engineered for dynamic expansion joints accommodating multidirectional movement
· Flat profiles — optimized for static construction joints with minimal displacement
· Ribbed profiles — designed for zones subjected to elevated hydrostatic pressure, delivering superior concrete bonding
Mold widths adjust from 150mm to 400mm, making this line suitable for varied civil engineering applications including bridge decks, water retention structures, housing developments, industrial chemical facilities, and sewage treatment plants.
Advantages of PVC Water Stop Seal Extrusion Line:
Automated raw material dosing through the screw feeder ensures consistent resin supply
Cutting-edge extrusion technology guarantees homogeneous product consistency batch after batch
Adaptable mold designs accommodate diverse cross-sections without complete line overhaul
Steady traction control maintains dimensional stability throughout the production cycle
Accurate length cutting delivers exact specifications per customer requirements
Streamlined coiling simplifies downstream handling and warehouse logistics
Working principle of PVC Water Stop Seal Extrusion Line:
Raw Material Preparation & Compounding
PVC powder is precisely weighed and blended with essential additives (plasticizers, stabilizers, fillers, and carbon black for UV resistance) in a high-speed mixer to ensure a homogeneous dry blend.
Automated Feeding
The compounded material is transferred via a spiral auto-loader to the extruder hopper, ensuring dust-free, continuous, and labor-saving material supply.
Twin-Screw Extrusion & Plasticization
The mixture enters the twin-screw extruder, where it undergoes intense shear and controlled heating. This guarantees thorough plasticization, eliminates air pockets, and produces a uniform molten compound ideal for high-density water stop profiles.
Precision Molding
The molten PVC is forced through a specially engineered extrusion mould. The die geometry defines the final profile—such as center-bulb, dumbbell, or ribbed designs—ensuring dimensional accuracy and sealing performance.
Vacuum Calibration & Cooling
The soft profile enters the vacuum calibration tank, where vacuum pressure holds the shape against precision molds while spray cooling rapidly sets the structure. This step locks in critical dimensions and prevents thermal deformation.
Synchronized Haul-Off
A caterpillar haul-off machine pulls the cooled profile through the line at a constant, synchronized speed, maintaining tension control and ensuring consistent linear metering.
Laser Marking / Coding
The moving profile passes a laser printer, which applies permanent markings such as batch numbers, specifications, or manufacturer logos for full product traceability.
Precision Cutting
An automatic cutting machine (PLC-controlled traveling saw) cuts the continuous profile into standard or custom lengths with clean, burr-free edges and high repeatable accuracy.
Collection or Socketing
Option A – Stacking: Finished lengths are automatically transferred to a stacker for bundling and packaging.
Option B – Belling: Profiles proceed to an automatic belling machine, where ends are heated and expanded to form joints compatible with rubber gaskets for watertight civil engineering connections.
Industry Applications
PVC waterstops produced on Deerma Machine extrusion systems play a vital role across multiple sectors:
· Transportation infrastructure — center bulb configurations manage multidirectional displacement in bridge expansion gaps
· Hydraulic engineering — ribbed designs ensure exceptional mechanical bonding under substantial water pressure
· Building envelopes — flat sections maintain watertight integrity at construction interfaces with limited movement
· Environmental protection facilities — chemically resistant PVC compounds deliver sustained sealing effectiveness in aggressive effluent conditions
