Advantages of PC/PMMA Board Extrusion Line:
Precision Rheological Screw Design
The heart of the line lies in its specialized screw geometry, meticulously engineered based on the rheological properties of PC and PMMA materials. This design ensures a gentle yet efficient plasticization process, preventing material degradation while guaranteeing a perfectly homogeneous melt.
Stable Melt Delivery System
Integrated with a high-precision melt pump and a T-type die, the system provides exceptional pressure control. This guarantees a steady and uniform melt flow, which is the fundamental prerequisite for achieving excellent optical performance and crystal-clear transparency in the final sheets.
Optimized Calendering Technology
The precision three-roll calender plays a crucial role in molecular orientation and stress relief. By accurately controlling the cooling rate and roller gaps, this system ensures the sheets possess superior mechanical strength and stable physical properties, while maintaining perfect flatness.
Working principle of PC/PMMA Board Extrusion Line:
Single Screw Extrusion
Polycarbonate (PC) or PMMA pellets are fed into the single screw extruder, where they are heated, melted, and homogenized. A specially engineered screw profile ensures gentle plasticization, preserving the optical clarity and mechanical properties of the material.
T-Die Forming
The molten polymer exits through a precision T-die, forming a uniform sheet curtain. Accurate gap control at this stage determines the final thickness tolerance and surface quality.
Three-Roller Calendering
The extruded sheet enters the three-roll calender, where temperature-controlled rollers define thickness, flatness, and surface gloss. This step also relieves internal stress, enhancing dimensional stability and impact resistance.
Cooling Bracket
After calendering, the sheet passes through a multi-stage cooling bracket. Gradual and controlled cooling prevents warpage and optical distortion, locking in the board’s physical properties.
Haul-Off Unit
A traction system with precise speed synchronization pulls the sheet steadily through the line, maintaining constant tension and avoiding surface scratches.
Precision Cutting
Sheets are cut to length by a servo-controlled cutter, ensuring clean edges and accurate dimensions ready for secondary processing.
Conveyor & Stacking
Finished boards are transferred via a conveyor system to the automatic stacker, where they are neatly piled and prepared for packaging and shipment.
